Dr. Adam as he is better known by his patients first became interested in dentistry while working on a cleft lip and palate research project. He traveled to Guatemala taking blood samples and helping specially trained dentist and plastic surgeons make devices that aided in their surgery. Dr. Adam continued his interest in research and spent a busy year before dental school at Stanford University studying the maternal-child relationship in multiple sclerosis. Combined with knocking out his own front teeth as a child he was magnetized to the power of a smile and the healthy childhood that is needed to keep one.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Adam served four years as a dentist in the U.S. Army, has advanced training in NAM (nasoalveolar moulding) therapy for cleft lip and palate infants, and dental forensic identification.
In his spare time he is an avid open ocean sailor with his wife and two daughters, loves kayaking, kitesurfing, and playing the ukulele.
Our friendly and compassionate staff is committed to maintaining a fun and stress-free environment and to making your child feel at home or even on SURFSIDE vacation.
We are a doctor owned private practice limited to pediatric dentistry. We accept most insurances and schedule by appointment only. If your child is an established patient with a dental emergency please contact us by phone.
We recommend scheduling younger patients’ appointments in the morning when children tend to be more rested and our team can take their time to maximize your child’s comfort. Dental appointments are excused absences for schools or work so we are more than happy to write letters upon request.
Please give us at least 48 hours of advanced notice if you are unable to keep your appointment so that we can try to fit someone else into that time slot.
