About Dr. Billie

Born in Puerto Rico and raised right here in the Lowcountry, Dr. Guillermo “Billie” Castro grew up in a military family alongside his five siblings. He began his dental journey at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, where he trained as a dental hygienist. Driven by a passion for helping others, Dr. Billie went on to earn his dental degree from the Dental College of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Billie completed his residency in pediatric dentistry in Hawaii, where he was deeply inspired by the island’s warm and welcoming aloha spirit. He now brings that same spirit to Surfside Kids, creating a fun, supportive environment for every child he treats. His gentle approach and playful energy make every visit a positive one. Outside the office, Dr. Billie loves music, salsa dancing, and spending time with his family.
